A right royal weekend!

The last two days have been incredibly busy. Most of Saturday was spent on the Cleaning Up the Borough Day in time for the Queen's visit next weekend for the world famous Epsom Derby.

Both my husband and I, with neighbours, were geared up with hi vis vests and spent the morning cleaning up litter from the pavements in College Ward. Even in a very clean ward like College there were lots of bags collected and we hope that this will make a good impression when the Queen visits for the long Derby weekend!

On Sunday we spent the day at Stoneleigh for the Stoneleigh Fun Day. Joined by Rosemary Najim, Councillor Darren Dale, my husband and I manned a stall raising money for Epsom Medical Equipment Fund. We sold many of the toy key rings which proved incredibly popular with children and adults alike!

We also sold birthday cards for the bargain price of 30 pence. You won't beat that in the high street! All money will be going towards raising money for a baby's heart ultrasound, also known as a paediatric echocardiography scanner.

Our next fundraising event will be the Inter-party Charity Football Match at St Martin's Junior School in Epsom on Sunday 15th July at 11am. Chris Grayling MP will be presenting The Grayling Shield to the winning team!

Please support the campaign for Zone 6!

We have been standing outside Epsom railway station petitioning the networks to allow Epsom to join Zone 6. Please see watch the video where members of the public, and I give our views as to why Epsom should be in Zone 6.
