Working hard in Epsom's gorgeous College Ward!

For the last few days I have been out and about in College Ward knocking on resident's doors and collecting signatures for our Green Belt petition. We have been overwhelmed by the support for our cause and delighted that so many resident's also want to protect our beautiful countryside and retain Epsom's character.

This morning, Conservative County Councillor Tina Mountain, EECA Chairman Jose Fiuza, Alex Clarke and I met with Surrey Highway's Maintenance Engineer, Jefferson Nwokeoma to measure the speed humps on Burgh Heath Road and raise our concerns about the very dangerous S bend which I have spoken about my our blog before and also highlighted some of the pot holes on Burgh Heath Road.

It was agreed that we would request the council to put in another hump on the bend to slow traffic as currently we are concerned about HGV's using the road.
